Business Growth Grant

The Business Growth Grant is one of three business grants to be made available under the Derbyshire Dales Rural Innovation Grant Scheme. The scheme is funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), the government’s domestic replacement for European Structural and Investment funds. The Rural Innovation Grant Scheme aims to assist business diversification, growth, adaptation and long term resilience.

Who are Business Growth Grants for?

 

  • Eligible micro, small and medium sized manufacturing businesses (especially advanced manufacturing and food and drink manufacturing) and engineering businesses (especially green and environmental engineering) requiring support to grow
  • Businesses need to have a trading address in the Derbyshire Dales and operate from business premises
  • Businesses need to directly employ staff

What size projects may be eligible for a grant?


Total project costs must be between £40,001 and £100,000. Larger projects may be considered in exceptional cases where grant funding is necessary for the project to proceed. However, the maximum grant will remain at £40,000.

How much are the grants?


An intervention rate of up to 40% applies to these grants i.e. maximum grants of £16,000 to £40,000.
The remainder of the funding must be evidenced by the applicant business.

When can I apply?

THIS GRANT SCHEME IS OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS.  However if you are considering applying  in the near future, please be aware that unfortunately technical matters have arisen with regard to UKSPF guidelines which require clarification from Government. We are therefore currently experiencing a delay in completion and contracting.
