Business Grants

Three levels of business grants are available via our Rural Innovation Grants scheme. Grant funding depends on the size of your business and project, business sector and other criteria.

Small Business Adaptation Grant

OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS. Micro and small buinesses are eligible to apply. For projects costing between £2,500 and £10,000. Grant intervention rate up to 80% (min grant £2,000 max grant £8,000.). Open to a range of sectors. More information.

Business Development Grant

OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS Micro and small businesses are eligbile to apply. For projects costing between £10,001 and £100,000. Grant intervention rate up to 50% (min grant £5,000 max grant £25,000). Open to a range of sectors. More information.

Business Growth Grant

OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS Micro, small and medium businesses are eligible to apply. For projects costing £50,000 to £150,000. Grant intervention rate up to 40% (min grant £20,000 max grant £40,000). Open to manufacturing businesses (especially advanced manufacturing and food and drink manufacturing) and engineering businesses (especially green and environmental engineering). More information

Community Grants

OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS. For eligible voluntary and community sector organisations, not for profit organisations, social enterprises and parish and town councils. Grants to support community-led projects. This grant scheme is delivered on our behalf by Derbyshire Dales Council for Voluntary Services (DDCVS). Grant intervention rate is up to 80% / min grant £4,000 / max grant £25,000. More information

These grant schemes are funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF). The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a central pillar of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025. The Fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK investing in communities and place, supporting local business, and people and skills.
