Baslow village hall is located by the village green and provides a centre for the use of residents of Baslow and Bubnell plus organisations from a wider area who hire it for events.
A £9,368 Community Resilience Grant from Derbyshire Dales District Council helped finance the costs of modernising the gents toilets, upgrading the external lighting and resurfacing the exterior paths.
These improvements have helped bring this important village amenity up to present day standards and made the access safer.
Lorraine Dale (Treasurer) says:
The grant from Derbyshire Dales District Council was a huge help to make big improvements to the village hall. We have had positive feedback from our hall users, especially regarding the gents toilets.
