Using a £4,219 Small Business Adaptation Grant from Derbyshire Dales District Council essential kitchen equipment was purchased at this popular station café to help make efficiencies, increase turnover and reduce running costs. The equipment included a dishwasher, a meat slicer, a griddle and a water boiler.
The café has experienced an ever growing increase in demand, which was hard to meet without modern equipment. For example dishwashing and meat slicing was previously done by hand. The purchases have resulted in savings in staff time, smoother running of the kitchen and improved customer service.
