This local video production company specialises in visual sports story-telling, working across two main areas - social change campaigns and commercial work plus broadcast documentaries for TV and streaming platforms.
An £8k Small Business Adaptation Grant was awarded by Derbyshire Dales District Council to purchase high-end lighting, lenses and workflow tools.
This new equipment has raised both the cinematography and production value of their work - enabling them to produce sharper, more cinematic visuals (which meet the standards of higher-budget clients) while also increasing the efficiency of their shooting and post-production processes.
The investment has opened up new opportunities to compete for larger scale projects and national campaigns, whilst also supporting the company’s environmental goals. By switching to energy-efficient LED lighting they have cut power usage during shoots, thus reducing their carbon footprint.
Edward Birch (Director) says:
The Small Business Adaptation Grant has been a game-changer — helping us reduce our environmental impact by switching to efficient LED lighting while also giving our cinematography a massive quality boost. With sharper visuals and faster workflows, we’re now producing more impactful content with a lighter footprint. It’s helped us future-proof Salt Street and keep pushing creative boundaries.
