Derbyshire Federation for Mental Health supports adults (aged 17+) across the Derbyshire Dales in their mental health, working with other mental health professionals and agencies. Promoting independence is central to their approach, encouraging clients to take responsibility for managing their own lives and wellbeing. The Federation's goal is to provide safe and supportive opportunities for social engagement, which helps build self-esteem and supports a more fulfilling life.
A £12k Community Resilience Grant from Derbyshire Dales District Council paid for upgrading at their Greenaway Hub centre at Darley Dale - with new flooring and partitioning to allow for a separate space for group/1-1 sessions and an office.
Sharon Williams (CEO) says:
The grant from Derbyshire Dales District Council has made a significant difference to providing a safe and calm Wellbeing Hub that is accessible to our communities dealing with Mental Health.
