Health Tec Medical, Hathersage

Health Tec Medical Limited are a family-owned supplier of specialised medical equipment and disposables. The company specialises in medical device seating solutions particularly reclining and therapy chairs to both the NHS, private healthcare providers and individuals. Clinically tailored equipment is offered with a notable emphasis on the needs of renal and haemodialysis services.

An energy audit and £3,870 Decarbonisation Grant helped the company assess and subsequently improve their onsite energy costs. A new efficient heating and cooling system was installed in the office and two new water pumps in the kitchen and bathroom. This then enabled the gas boiler to be decommissioned.

Georgina Pearson (Director) says:

Working with East Midlands Chamber and Derbyshire Dales District Council, we have seen a great improvement on our carbon reduction Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions onsite here in Hathersage, and with this, we are working with the NHS in becoming Carbon Net neutral by 2050. As of 31 March 2025, our carbon emission reduction achieved by implementing the changes equate to 7.42 tCO2e, a 78% reduction against our 2019 baseline of 9.48 tCO2e.
