Skopa is a zero waste/refill shop on Wirksworth’s high street selling cupboard food, everyday household items and a selection of sustainable gifts.
The business received a £7,998 Small Business Adaption Grant from Derbyshire Dales District Council towards the cost of a bespoke storage system on the shop floor.
The 9 bespoke wheeled storage units were built to a high specification for durability and strength. They enable storage of large bulky bags near to the shop floor refill dispense/containers and efficient movement of stock within the shop.
The new storage system has enabled better use of staff time with more time available for helping customers and increasing turnover.
Sarah Cumberland (Co-Director) says:
The storage units have fundamentally changed the way the shop is run. Creating efficiencies has meant we can concentrate on the customer and making sure they have the best experience possible. We have also been able to use this time to expand our range. This new storage system has already proved invaluable.
