WM101

WM101 is a waste management consultancy which provides waste solutions to businesses across various sectors. Operating from their base at Station Road, Bakewell their services cover a wide range of waste types - including general waste, recycling, food, sanitary, hazardous, clinical and electronic waste.

The company identified a need to modernise their internal processes and improve how they communicate their services to clients across the UK.

The £20,308 Business Development Grant from Derbyshire Dales District Council allowed WM101 to invest in the creation of a bespoke operational software platform tailored to their workflow. This has enabled real-time tracking of waste collections, improved scheduling and more accurate reporting – thus significantly increasing efficiency and reducing administrative overheads.

Alongside these back-of-house efficiencies a new website has strengthened their digital marketing, showcasing their services and making it easier for potential customers to connect with the company.

Helen Haywood (Director) says:

Receiving the Business Development Grant from Derbyshire Dales District Council has been instrumental in accelerating our growth. It enabled us to invest in operational software that streamlines our internal processes and improves access to real-time data. The grant also supported a complete upgrade of our website, allowing us to better market our services and connect with clients digitally. This investment has strengthened both our efficiency and visibility across rural and urban markets.
